Imation Corp. introduced the Imation Pivot Plus Flash Drive and re-designed Imation Pivot Flash Drive, each engineered to deliver advanced security options.

The Pivot Plus Flash Drive features a rugged design and maximum security to meet rigorous government security standards, providing an ideal way for business professionals and government personnel to safely store and transport sensitive or valuable data. The updated Pivot Flash Drive offers an enhanced design and security features, making it the perfect solution for today's mobile business professional.

The Pivot Plus Flash Drive delivers an additional level of protection with 256-bit AES hardware encryption, providing further assurance that data stored on the drive will not be compromised. Hardware encryption is integrated into the drive controller and automatically initiated by the drive, requiring secure storage of all data that cannot be compromised by outside users. The encryption software automatically launches when the drive is inserted into a computer's USB port, ensuring that the contents of the drive are always password protected and encrypted.

The compact, easy-to-use Imation Pivot Plus Flash Drive also features one password-protected partition that only allows storage of encrypted data, a tamper-resistant housing and full compliance with the federal Trade Agreements Act. Additional security features include administrative password control, automatic formatting after seven failed attempts and character requirements.

The Pivot Flash Drive provides easy-to-use software encryption software and drive partitioning that gives the user control over secure data, as well as the ability to share content with other users. It also is newly enhanced for Windows(R) Vista ReadyBoost compatibility, allowing it to be used to accelerate system performance, as well as store and transport data. Additionally, the re-designed Pivot Flash Drive is now available with up to 8GB of capacity.

Imation's Pivot Plus and Pivot Flash Drives feature innovative tamper-resistant designs, adding physical security to the drives' remarkable virtual security. The Pivot Plus and Pivot Flash Drives are small, light and easy to use, and feature an enhanced extra-sturdy key ring connector making it simple to attach the drives to key rings, chains, briefcases and duffle bags. Made of tough, durable materials, the Pivot Plus and Pivot Flash Drives are designed to withstand shock and large variations in temperature. Each also includes an integrated, no-lose pivot cap to protect from loss and the elements. The Imation Pivot Plus Flash Drive is available now, and Pivot Flash Drive will be available later this quarter in the United States, each in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities. The Pivot Plus Flash Drive is available for a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) ranging from $69.99 to $249.99, based on capacity. The Pivot Flash Drive is available for an MSRP of $29.99 to $199.99, based on capacity.
